The present study aims to confirm the positive effects of Playtray Therapy on
the interpersonal relations of a university student. The use of Playtray Therapy is
well-known to reduce negative behaviour and emotions within interpersonal relations
and to relax emotional tension. The object of this study is a university student. The
female student would not talk to classmates, respond to questions from professors,
or have any interest doing university assignments. Her only one tool for the
communication with other people was sending text messages from her mobile phone.
Her adviser introduced her to the counselling centre in the university. The therapist
used a psychiatric measurement scale to test the psycho-emotional level and adopted
Playtray Therapy for 30 sessions in total. The sixth stage of Playtray Therapy is
creating worlds, experiencing and rearranging, sharing stories, taking photos,
transition, and decomposition. The result of Playtray Therapy showed that there
were meaningful changes in the behaviour and the interpersonal relations of the
student.
