In this study, based on the learning cycle of Lawson, an experimental strategy which stresses
an inquiry has been developed. The results of this study are as follows :
first, In the first place, the disadvantages of general chemistry experiment now in use were
carefully analyzed. Then ways which compensate for the weak points in the current experiment
were suggested. second, An experimental strategy, improving the learning cycle of Lawson at
the same time stressing inquiry was developed. finally Nine models, which are concrete forms
of fore-mentioned experimental strategy were made.
The conclusion of this study is as follows. Basing on the so-developed experimental strategy
science, teachers can easily make various inquiry experiments that contribute to the ability of
teachers to guide an inquiry.
