The purpose of this study is to analyses the condition of application of learning through
plays which is used for the instruction in elementary and secondary schools. Plays could be one
of the most efficient learning ways to have the students motivated for science and study
actively.
To achieve this aim, we researched the purpose of learning through plays, the circumstances,
various types of plays, interactive aspects and the elements of plays which are being used in
the current schools. Based on the results, we researched the ways to make science classes
effective and efficient. The conclusion of this research is like this.
(1) we should invent the new plays which are correlated to the curriculum (2) Various types
of plays needed to develop because academic plays are prevelant nowadays. (3) A variety of
ways to approach are needed in applying plays. (4) We should make a correct definition and
the criteria of classification for many kinds of plays. (5) The plays should be organized to have
the students interact with each other actively (6) we should make the students realize the
scientific principle through plays. (7) We should suggest the effective plays which are
well-balanced between competition and luck.
The results of this study will play a fundamental role to suggest teaching strategies, which
could make the science classes through plays well organized and efficient in elementary and
middle schools.
