The research aims to suggest the practical grammar education which help student developing their communicative skills and knowledge to express their intentions using various sentence-endings, which can be summarized as sentence-ending expressions based on text. We have suggested the course of text-based grammar education as followings: text-based grammar skill, emphasis on methodical knowledge, and focus on language activities - speaking, reading, writing, and listening. In the text-based grammar education, it is important to view grammar not within the text that is a grammatical unit slightly larger than a sentence, but within one that is the product of a communication process. The knowledge to be taught should then be the methodical knowledge that can be applied to the actual use of language, rather than the conceptual knowledge of grammar. The language activities should also be focusing on improvement the use of language. Text-based approaches, as we suggested in this article, will be much more helpful for speakers and writers when they communicate in different situations and contexts than fixt-form approaches regarding grammar education. Moreover, in expressing his/her ideas, the writer (or speaker) can use the sentence-ending expressions in different contexts as a strategical tool to consider the readers and listeners. We can say that this is the goal of Korean grammar education.
