The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of physical expression activities
using instruction of non-categorical subjects on improvement of abilities to use mimetic
words and physical expressions for students with visual impairment. In an alternating
treatments design, 3 female students with visual impairment were assigned to mimetic
word classes for traditional Koran language instruction and physical expression activity
instruction.. The results of this study showed that there were not significant differences
between two treatments whereas both of traditional Koran language instruction and
physical expression activity instruction improved the ability in using mimetic word
compared to baseline. However Physical expression increased significantly greater in
physical expression activities instruction, as compared with traditional Korean language
instruction. Therefore, physical expression activity program using instruction of
non-categorical subjects could be recommended as an effective instruction to improve the
ability physical expression for students with visual impairment.
