In this study, we developed a disability awareness program for teaching(A-DAPT) and
examined the effects of the program on students\' disability awareness. The program was
intended to be used conveniently and effectively by general education classroom teachers.
The program, developed by the curriculum infusion approach, was designed to be used
during regular lessons in inclusive classrooms. A total 44 lessons for elementary school
students and 30 lessons for middle school students were respectively developed. The
program was composed of lesson plans, teacher-presentation slides, and a teacher\'s
manual. The program was effective for improving general students\' disability awareness.
In particular, middle school students\' disability awareness improved much on students
with, for example, emotional and behavioral disorders or intellectual disabilities, who are
more likely to be educated in general education classrooms.
