본 연구의 목적은 유아의 정서조절능력 및 갈등해결능력과 또래유능성간의 관계를 알아보고, 유아의 또래유능성에 대한 정서조절능력과 갈등해결능력의 영향력을 알아보고자 하는데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 어린이집에 다니는 만 4, 5세 유아 249명이고, 이들 유아를 담당하고 있는 교사에 게 유아의 정서조절능력과 또래유능성 설문 및 갈등해결능력 면접을 실시하도록 하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 유아의 정서조절능력의 평균점수는 3.24점이고, 갈등해결능력의 평균점수는 2.95점이며, 또 래유능성의 평균점수는 3.25점이었다. 둘째, 유아의 정서조절능력 및 갈등해결능력은 또래유능성 과 유의한 양의 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아의 타인정서조절능력이 또래유능성을 설 명하기에 가장 영향력이 큰 변인이었고, 다음으로 자기정서조절능력 순이며, 이들 변인의 설명력 은 62.2%이었다.
The purposes of this study were to examine the relationships among emotional regulation ability, conflict solving ability, and young children's peer competence and to analyze the predictive power of emotional regulation ability and conflict solving ability in predicting young children's peer competence. The subjects were 249 children at 6 childcare centers located in the Jeonlabukdo area. The results of this study were as follows: First, the mean of emotional regulation ability was 3.24, the mean of conflict solving ability was 8.86, and the mean of young children's peer competence was 3.25. Second, emotional regulation ability and conflict solving ability were significantly correlated with young children's peer competence. Lastly, other-emotional regulation ability was the most powerful variable influencing young children's peer competence.
