본 연구의 목적은 사진을 활용한 환경교육활동이 유아의 환경 친화적 태도 및 환경 보전 지식에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이었다. 연구대상은 D시에 소재한 2개 병설유치원에 재원중인 만 5세 유아 36명으 로 실험집단 18명, 통제집단 18명이었다. 실험집단 유아들은 12주 동안 사진을 활용한 환경교육활동을 ‘사진에 관심 모으기’, ‘환경에 대한 이야기 나누기’, ‘사진 찍기(찾기)’, ‘토의하기’, ‘연관 활동하기’의 5 단계로 경험하였고, 통제집단은 일반적인 환경교육활동을 경험하였다. 연구도구로는 ‘환경 친화적 태 도’와 ‘환경 보전 지식’ 검사 도구를 사용하였고, 수집된 자료는 t검증으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 사진 을 활용한 환경교육활동은 유아의 환경 친화적 태도와 환경 보전 지식에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다.
The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of environmental education activities using photographs on young children's pro-environmental attitudes and preservation knowledge. The research questions for the study were as follows: 1. What are the effects of environmental education activities using photographs on young children's pro-environmental attitudes? 2. What are the effects of environmental education activities using photographs on young children's environmental preservation knowledge? The subjects were 36 five-year-old children attending a public kindergarten which was located in D City, consisting of 18 children in the experiment group and 18 children in the control group. The experimental group experienced the environmental education activities using photographs for 12 weeks, while the control group did the common environmental education activities. As a research tool, ‘The pro-environmental attitudes test’ and ‘The environmental preservation knowledge test’ were used. The data were analyzed by t-test. The results showed that environmental education activities using photographs had positive effects on improvement of young children's pro-environmental attitudes and preservation knowledge.
