본 연구의 목적은 사진을 활용한 숲 체험 활동이 유아의 환경 감수성 및 환경 친화적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 강원도 K시에 위치한 두 유치원의 만 4세 두 학급을 선정한 뒤, 실험집단 유아 17명에게 14주 동안 사진을 활용한 숲 체험 활동을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과, 사진 을 활용한 숲 체험 활동을 경험한 실험집단 유아의 환경 감수성 및 환경 친화적 태도가 통제집단에 비 해 유의미하게 향상되었다. 환경 감수성의 하위요소 별로 살펴보면, 실험집단의 민감성과 심미감 및 정서안정에 긍정적인 변화를 나타냈으며, 동정과 연민에서는 집단 간에 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않 았다. 환경 친화적 태도의 경우 하위 요소인 자연 친화적 태도와 환경 보전 태도의 두 측면에서 모두 실험집단이 통제집단에 비해 긍정적인 변화를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과를 통해 사진을 활용한 숲 체험 활동이 유아의 환경 감수성 및 환경 친화적 태도에 효과가 있으며, 환경 친화 교육을 위한 의미 있는 접근방안이 될 수 있음을 알 수 있다.
The purpose of this study is to find out how Forest Activity using Photography(FAP) affects young children's environmental sensitivity and environmentally-friendly attitude. Two classrooms from two kindergartens with children at the age of 4 in “K city” in Kangwon-do were chosen. A total of 17 children did the activity for 14 weeks. According to the results, the experimental group with FAP showed a significant increase in environmental sensitivity and environmentally-friendly attitude when compared with the control group. Environmental sensitivity subcategory wise, experimental group's susceptibility and emotional stability showed positive change while sympathy did not. Environmentally-friendly attitude subcategory wise, nature-friendly attitude and environment conservation attitude both showed positive change when compared with the control group. Based on these results, FAP is effective to young children's environmental sensitivity and environmentallyfriendly attitude, and it can be an effective approach to environmentally-friendly education.
