본 연구는 전문대학 3년제 유아교육과 학사학위 전공심화과정의 교육과정 구성 및 편성 에 대한 기초 자료를 제공할 목적으로 12개 대학 교육과정을 수집, 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 전공심화 교육과정 전체 편성을 살펴보았다. 총 학점은 최소 20학점에서 최고 46학 점이었으며, 전공학점 비율이 최소 65%에서 최대 100%였다. 전공 학점은 최소 13학점에서 최고 36학점이었으며 평균 학점은 26.8이었다. 교양 교과목은 전체 대학 중 4개 대학에서 최소 1과목에서 최대 5과목까지의 교과목을 개설하고 있었으며, 비율은 전체 교육과정 과 목 수의 11.1%에 해당하였다. 둘째, 전공심화 교육과정의 영역별 편성을 분석해 본 결과, 교양 교과목은 영역별로 사회과학 영역의 교과목(6개), 인문학 영역의 교과목(4개), 예술⋅ 체육 영역의 교과목(2개), 자연과학 영역의 교과목(1개)이었다. 전공교과목은 영역별로 ‘교 육과정 이해’ 영역(58.1%), ‘연구능력’ 영역(10.8%), ‘유아교사의 전문성 이해’ 영역(6.8%), ‘의사소통 기술’ 영역(6.0%), ‘교육 및 사회현상 이해’ 영역(5.1%), ‘아동 이해’ 영역(2.6%)의 순이었다. 종합적으로 3년제 유아교육과 전공심화 교육과정에서는 실무에서 매우 필요한 내용이지만 3년제 과정에서 충분히 다루기에 어려움이 있었던 교과들을 개설하고 있었다. 대부분 대학에서 개설한 교과목들은 현장에서 교사들이 직무를 수행함에 어려움을 느끼는 내용으로 구성하여 현장 요구를 반영하고 있는 것으로 분석된다.
The purpose of this study was to prepare basic data for construction and arrangement appropriate curriculum of advanced course of early childhood teacher education program in 3-year college. For this purpose, it was conducted to collect and analyze of 12 curricula of advanced course of junior college's early childhood teacher education program. The results of this study were as follows. First, according to the overall construction of advanced curricula total credits were ranged from 20 to 46 a year. The credits of major subjects were ranged from 13 to 36 and the mean value was 26.8. The portion of liberal arts was 11.1% and 4 colleges opened them from 1 to 5 subjects a year. Second, according to the analysis of the composition the liberal arts were composed of social science area(6), humanities area(4), art & physical education area(2) and natural science area(1). The major subjects was composed of the areas of 'understanding curriculum(58.1%)', 'competence of research(10.8%)', 'understanding the professional of teacher(6.8%)', 'communication skill(6.0%)', 'understanding environment of education and society(5.1%)' and 'understanding children(2.6%)'. Overall the advanced course of early childhood teacher education program contained subjects which was absent in the 3 year course even though it was necessary for the field work. We analyzed that the most college of this study opened subjects according to the needs of teacher who had many difficulties to do their tasks in the field.
