The purpose of the current study was to investigate the effects of recreation
specialization on following norms attitude, and to examine the difference in and
transition patterns of following norms attitude based on the levels of recreation
specialization in the college students participating in sport clubs. To achieve the
goals of the study, 400 college students from 8 universities were selected using
the random sampling and convenience sampling methods and a total of 391
surveys were utilized for the final analyses. In the study, Cronbach's α,
correlation, regression, cluster, and one-way ANOVA analyses were conducted
through the SPSS 18.0 program. The main findings were as follows: First,
recreation specialization had a significant positive effect on following norms
attitude. Second, only affective specialization of recreation specialization
sub-factors had a significant positive effect on following norms attitude. Finally,
transition patterns of following norms attitude were different based on the levels
of recreation specialization sub-factors.
