본 연구는 지적장애학생의 일반교육 교육과정 접근에 대한 법적 근거는 무엇이며, 일반교육 교 육과정 접근을 위한 방안은 무엇인지를 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 ‘첫째, 지적장애학생의 일반교육 교육과정 접근에 대한 법적 근거는 무엇인가?, 둘째, 지적장애학 생의 일반교육 교육과정 접근을 위한 방안은 무엇인가?’라는 연구 문제를 선정하였다. 본 연구는 문헌연구를 통하여 연구 문제를 해결하였다. 지적장애학생의 일반교육 교육과정 접근에 대한 법 적 근거는 IDEA 2004와 NCLB에서 찾아볼 수 있었다. IDEA 2004는 학생의 IEP를 통해, NCLB 에서는 일반적 평가를 보완해줄 대안적 평가를 통해 일반교육 교육과정 접근을 도모하고 있었다. 지적장애학생의 일반교육 교육과정 접근을 위한 방안으로는 일반교육 교육과정 접근을 위한 단 계모형의 적용, 교육과정조정의 적용, 그리고 보편적 학습설계의 적용으로 나누어 볼 수 있었다.
The purpose of this study is to explore the legal basis about access to the general curriculum of students with intellectual disabilities and the ways for access to the general curriculum of students with intellectual disabilities. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, questions of study are as follows: first, what is the legal basis about access to the general curriculum of students with intellectual disabilities? and second, what is the ways for access to the general curriculum of students with intellectual disabilities? Literature research was conducted in this study. It is found that the legal basis about access to the general curriculum of students with intellectual disabilities in IDEA 2004 and NCLB. It was tried to access to the general curriculum of students with intellectual disabilities though student’s IEP in IDEA 2004 and alternative assessment in NCLB. The ways for access to the general curriculum of students with intellectual disabilities are application of stage model, curriculum accommodation, and universal design for learning.
