본 연구의 목적은, 미래 국가경쟁력을 좌우할 수 있는 우리 대학의 수준과 질을 대학 생들의 만족도를 통해 고찰하고 분석하는 것이다. 즉, 우리나라의 대학이 고등교육의 기 능을 원활히 수행할 수 있도록 대학생들의 대학교육 만족도를 분석하여 교육의 효율성 을 제고시키는 데 있다. 이를 위해 첫째, 대학교육에 대한 실증적인 조사를 통해 대학생 의 일반적 특성에 따른 전반적인 교육 만족도를 파악한다. 둘째, 대학교육 만족도의 주 요 영역별 변인은 무엇이며, 이들의 하위변인은 어떻게 구성되는지를 그 요인을 분석한 다. 셋째, 만족도의 주요 영역변인들이 대학교육의 전반적인 만족도에 미치는 영향력 정 도를 분석한다. 연구결과에 따르면 대학생들의 대학교육 만족도는 보통 수준에 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 대학교육 만족도에 연령별, 학년별, 계열별 차이는 없으나 성 별 차이는 나타났다. 여학생의 만족도가 남학생의 만족도 보다 더 낮게 나타났다. 대학교육 만족도에 영향을 미치는 변인을 선행연구에서 추출하여 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 교수, 교육내용, 교육방법, 시설 및 환경, 담당직원의 서비스 등 5가지 영역으로 분류할 수 있었다. 대학생들의 대학교육 만족도에 영향을 미치는 주요 변인의 영향력을 파악하기 위해 회귀분석을 실시하였고, 그 결과 교수, 교육내용, 교육방법, 시설 및 환경 의 4가지 변인이 유의한 영향력 변인으로 나타났으며, 이들의 설명력은 약 31%였다.
This Study tries to analyze the academic satisfaction of undergraduate students who will play a leading role in Korean society in future. Major issues of this study are as follow. How is the relation between the academic satisfaction and the general characteristics of students. How is the relation between the academic satisfaction of university and the elements of satisfaction including tutor, educational method, educational content, educational facility and environment, service of educational staff. According to the result of investigation, the academic satisfaction of undergraduate students about university education is below the average. In the academic satisfaction of undergraduate students, there is no difference at age, grade and department but is a difference at gender. The satisfaction of female students appears to be lower than male students. According to the preceding research on factors which have an effect on the satisfaction, these are tutor, educational method, educational content, educational facility and environment, service of educational staff. As a result of regression analysis, tutor, educational method, educational content, educational facility and environment had an important meaning on the academic satisfaction.
