This research purports to examine the level of user-centered practices, the main effect of social work
practitioners' professionalism on user-centered practices, and the mediated effect of facility socialization
on user-centered practices at residential facilities for people with disabilities. For this research, 274 social
work practitioners from 55 residential facilities for people with disabilities were surveyed, and structural
equation model was used for analysis. The research findings showed that the level of user-centered practices
at residential facilities for people with disabilities scored 3.49 out of a 5-point scale. Professionalism of
social work practitioners and facility socialization had a direct influence on user-centered practices, and
at the same time, facility socialization was proven to be an important mediator between professionalism
of social work practitioners and user-centered practices. As a result, this research suggested possible ways
for social work practices to promote user-centered practices at residential facilities for people with disabilities.
