본 연구는 초등학교 3, 4학년 아동 567명을 대상으로 모-자녀 의사소통과 또래관계의 질 간의 관계에 대 해 알아보는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 이와 더불어 모-자녀 의사소통 수준의 차이가 또래관계의 질을 구분하 는지 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 모-자녀 의사소통이 개방적일수록 또래관계의 질이 긍정적이고, 모- 자녀 의사소통이 폐쇄적일수록 또래관계의 질이 부정적인 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 모-자녀 의사소통의 수준에 따라 또래관계의 질의 모든 하위영역이 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과들을 토대로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점을 논의하였다.
The goal of this study is to examine the correlation between mother-child communication and the child's quality peer relationship among 567 subjects of 3rd and 4th graders in elementary schools. In addition, this study was to inquire the differences mother-child communication levels that classified the quality of peer relationships. The results shows open communication between mother and child was associated with positive factors of peer relationship while closed communication affected negative factors. And all subfactors of the quality of peer relationship were differ from the mother-child communication levels.
