The major goal of this study is to investigate every relation of job satisfaction with
communication competence and communication satisfaction based on the theory of
communication. More over to check whether the satisfaction of communication is working as
a mediation variable or not. The subjects of this study are 230 office workers in regular
corporations and enterprises in Seoul. The outcome instruments are the measure of
communication ability, used by Jung Hoon, Son and Jun Woong, Lee, the measure of
satisfaction of communication ability, made by Downs & Hazen, and the measure of
satisfaction of duty ability, made by Chung gi, Son and Jun Gon Kim. The result from this
study is as follows. First, communication competence and communication satisfaction are
related. Second, the communication competence affects the job satisfaction. As the
communication skill grows, the job satisfaction grows too by affecting each factor statistically.
Third, the communication satisfaction shares effects with communication competence and job
satisfaction, and it performs a partial mediating effect as a significant mediation variable.
Finally, the limitation and implication of this study were discussed.
