This is a comparative study on Toegye Ihwang(1501~1570)
and Yangming Wang shuren(1472~1528))'s mind philosophy
through the two analects Toegyesonsengonhenglok and
Chuanxilu. Toegyesonsengonhenglok is written by Toegye's
excellent disciples, and Chuanxilu is written by Yangming'
excellent disciples too. And we can find out a many point of
differences through the examples of the two analects, such as
instructional method, a point of view on human being, a
woman, nature and death and so on. Particularly, Toegye lay
weight on awe and respect(Jing, Gyong, 敬) against human and
nature such as Chuzhi schools did in generally. Yangming, the
other side, lay weight on the nature of human mind(Liangzhi,
Yangji, 良知) and sincerity(Cheng, Seong, 誠), so he lay
emphasis on Liangzhi only, and denied Jing. But, I think
basically, Toegye and Yangming has hardly same point of view
on humanity and nature. The two thinkers, although some
scholar who have studied on two are against the idea, did not
want to accumulate a store of knowledge quantitatively. They,
In short, has same uptodately agenda for human and nature.
