독서를 활용한 진로교육의 가능성 탐색

이 연구에서는 학교 진로교육의 목표를 달성하기 위해 독서활동을 어떻게 적용하고 활용 할 수 있을 것인가에 대해 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 먼저, 진로독서교육 활성화의 배경이 되는 진로교육 활성화가 어떻게 진행되고 있는지 알아보고, 독서교육의 내용이 구체적으 로 어떻게 구성되어야 할 것인지를 현재 우리나라 학교에서 실시되는 진로교육의 목표를 중심으로 검토하였다. 모든 학교급별 교육목표의 근간이 되는 자기이해, 일과 직업세계의 이해, 진로탐색, 진로디자인과 준비 등 네 가지 영역에서의 진로교육 목표를 성취하기 위 해 독서활동이 어떻게 적용될 수 있을지 검토하였다. 마지막으로 현재 교육 현장에서 실 시하고 있는 진로독서교육의 내용을 살펴보고, 앞으로 과제를 제안하였다.

영문초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of reading as career education in school settings. To do this, the background of the needs of career education in schools of South Korea was examined. And then the goals of career education were reviewed. The goals of career education in school levels consists of self-understanding, understanding of work and the world of work, career exploration, and career preparation and design. The possibilities of reading activity to achieve four career goals were examined and presented as the results of this study. Finally, the current educational policy in the field of reading and career education was reviewed to suggest the new policy making strategies.
