오늘날 박물관의 역할과 기능의 점점 중요해지면서 박물관에 대한 기대와 요구 또한 높아가 고 있다. 문화자원봉사 영역의 한 갈래인 도슨트제도는 교육기능이 강화된 오늘날의 박물관 기 능을 보다 효과적으로 만드는 중요한 역할을 한다 . 이에 연구자는 과연 도슨트가 관람객의 만족도에 어느 정도의 영향을 끼치는가를 설문조사를 통해 실증적으로 분석해 보았다 . 그 결과 욕구충족의 경우 전반적으로 도슨트의 안내를 받은 관람객의 만족도가 높았고, 독립 표본 T-검정 결과도 서비스의 유무가 관람객의 만족도에 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 도슨트 서비스의 만족 정도와 박물관에 대한 전반적인 만족도(욕구충족, 추천여부, 재방문의 사)을 상관분석을 통해 살펴본 바도 약하지만 상관성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이런 결과를토대로도슨트의 모집, 교육, 활용과사기 앙양에 대하여 정책제안을하였다 . 우 선 박물관 조직원들이 도슨트의 중요성을 제대로 인식하고, 모집단계 부터 기존 봉사자의 추천 이나 퇴직 교원이나 문화단체 소속원 그리고 문화교육프로그램 참가자들을 우선하여 모집하는 것이 효과적이라는 것을 제안하였다 . 또한 체계적인 교육 프로그램 마련과 관련 대학과의 연계 풍을 통하여 책임감을 가지고 적극적으로 활동할 수 있도록 도슨트 교육 방안을 제시하였고, 안내를 받는 관람객의 만족도 제고는 물론 도슨트 자체의 만족도를 높이기 위해서 적절한 업무 분장, 전담 직원의 배치 그리고 다양한 보상체계 구축과 활동 평가의 필요성을 강조하였다.
As the role and functions of the today’s museum become more and more important, the expeαation and demand for the museum have also being increased. A docent institution, as a branch of volunteer service in culture, performs more effectively the role of today’s museum fortified the educational function. Thus, this researcher analyzed in details how much effect the degree of the audience's satisfaction through a survey of questionnaire. As the result, in case of audiences’ requirement, the degree of satisfaction of an audience who took a volunteer service shows higher rate in all aspects, and the result of independent samples t-test also shows that a volunteer service can affect the degree of satisfaction of an audience. Further, the result of analysing correlation between the degree of satisfaction of an audience and that of museum in all aspects such as the requirement sufficiency, the recommendation choice, and the revisit intention shown a limited but obvious correlationship Based on this result, the researcher proposed the volunteer institution policy on recruit, training, service, and encouragement. Firstly, he proposed that the museum workers well acknowledge the importance of volunteer service, and to recruit preferentially a novice through a working volunteer’s recommendation, or among the retired teacher, or the members of cultural institute and the participants of culture & education programs is efficient. Secondly, he proposed the docent education program that the museum prepares for a systematic education program with a responsibili미 in connection with a university to perform actively, and emphasized the adequate works division, the arrangement of responsible specialist, the establishment of various kinds of compensation system, and the necessity of evaluation of their activities are required to increase not only the degree of guided audiences' satisfaction but also the degree of the volunteers’s their satisfaction.
