The modem museums in the 21st century are complex cultural institutions and are required to
contribute to enhancing the quality of life of people as space where the general public can enjoy
culture and do lifelong study. Due to these social changes and needs the museum paradigm is
changing from the object-oriented exhibition to the people-oriented one and the bidirectional
communication style. These changes are affecting transformation of exhibition of modem natural
science museums and as a way of enhancing the communicative effect with the audience
storytelling of exhibition is applied in a diverse way. For the constitutional aspe다, they rnake the
visitors understand the exhibition themes in a integrated way by systematizing and structuralizing
them through storγtelling focused on concepts. For the contents aspect of the exhibition, they
help the audience understand better by introducing storytelling in symbolic exhibits of
conceptualizing the exhibition themes and by providing the social and environmental context
targeting the audience as rnain agents of actively participating in the exhibition, storytelling with
open possibilities of narrative is applied to show probabilities into open exhibition, and the
visitors are made to experience irnmersion in exhibition by e양libits(objects) appearing as the
center of the story.
For the aspect of exhibition methods, we’ve examined that the nature of the exhibition
representation medium changes, which delivers messages of the meaning type and storytelling is
introduced in order to expand communion through experience and sensitivity and visual
storytelling is applied as a means of strengthening visual communication in the process
symbolizing the exhibition representation medium. As mentioned above, exhibition storytelling
