A war leads to much of the loss of lives and materials, at the same time causes a social unrest as a materially large scale collision between nations. And then a ruler put all of national power into postwar reconstruction to minimize the aftermath of war. If so, the public peace and order, before anything, should be stabilized for the purpose of the reconstructive performance without a hitch. That is to say, The success or failure to the reconstruction of a country depends on the reestablishment of public peace and order.
Japanese Invasion of Chosun in 1592(壬辰倭亂) gave such a great shock and influences to the Chosun Dynasty that it distinguished either the former era or the latter era from the period of Chosun Dynasty. With Chinese reinforcement of the Ming Dynasty, a loyal troops(義兵)' s resistance in all parts of the country, and admiral Yi Sun-shin(李舜臣)' s victory in naval battle against the Japanese aggression, The Chosun Dynasty overcame Japanese Invasion. In the middle war time, the king Seonjo(宣祖 ; 1567-1608) fled from the Japanese enemy and returned a palace in a capital city.
