The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of using slide-picture books to enhance young children\'s creativity. The 30 slide-picture books used in this study were made from the contents of 30 prize winner-picture books. The subjects of the study were 49 5-year-old children who were attending a kindergarten in Pusan. The subjects were randomly assigned into three groups, i.e., two experimental groups and one control group. The experimental group 1, consisting of 17 subjects, was exposed to the learning activities using slide-pictrure books. The 16 subjects, who were assigned into the experimental group 2, participated the learning activities based on ordinary picture books. The rest of them, 16 subjects, were assigned into the control group. The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking-Figural(TTCT-Figural) was used to examine the pre and post level of creativity of the subjects. The results of the study indicate that the subjects in the experiment group 1 were significantly improved in every constituents of creativity than those in any other groups. In addition, the effect size of gain score for the experiment group 1 was the largest in all aspects of creativity among the three groups. In conclusion, the results clearly demonstrate that such slide-picture books developed in this research would be very effective in promoting and developing children\'s creativity.
