The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of mentoring program for increasing of major adjustment in college students. The subjects were 54 college students in grade 1 who had randomly assigned to an experimental(mentee) group(34) and a control group(20). To obtain the data, major adjustment test, social support, emotional dimension, cognitive ability questionaries were used. To analyze data, ANCOVA, MANOVA, t-test were executed.
The results were as follows. First, mentoring program affected significantly on improvement of experimental group\'s major satisfaction and career identity. Second, every sessions of contents in mentoring program affected significantly on improvement of experimental group\'s social support, emotional dimension, and cognitive ability. Third, the improvement of experimental group was maintained. Therefore mentoring program for increasing of major adjustment in college students can be presented by alternative course of college curriculum.
