This research, by looking into how critically domestic violence may influence on multicultural family's
child, is to provide a fundamental data base to solving problems that can possibly happen in building an
effective caring system for the child. This research was done with cooperation of the multicultural family
support center and the local children center. The data from this research was statistically analyzed through
the software, SPSS 21.0 Win. The result from this research is as following. First, the study on the
domestic violence that results in child abuse, psychological tendency toward being internalization or
externalization, says all the three are closely related. In other words, the child who have been influenced
by domestic violence is later highly likely to use abuse against his or her spouse, and now to have poor
relationship with other children, and the child also tends to be too more internalization or externalization.
Secondly, the relationship between child abuse, tendency toward being internalization or externalization tells
that more domestic abuse causes the tendency to be very more severe. From reflecting on the result above,
child abuse in multicultural family must not happen to keep the child’s mental state healthy, and a social
safety net for multicultural families needs to be enforced.
