Installation art program as Education for Sustainable Development has treated
the topic about sustainable development through the formation of art which was
suggested as a solution about various globalization problems like resource
depletion, weather change, intensification of rich and poor gap, poverty and it is
also a practical attempt of art education for a learner to recognize interdependence
and to form value for future-oriented thinking and sustainable development as a
member of community.
For this, the study has paid attention in installation art which supports active
communication with audience and the place was made as a base for a learner to
install art piece around school. Then through this, installation art leading method
has been prepared and applied as Education for Sustainable Development which
forms value, attitude for sustainable development through direct mutual
interdependence with community. As a previous level of the program, the study
has applied test program and prepared improved program reflecting the implication
received from the test program. And in the process of applying the program, a
learner was asked to write the project note and research report through close
observation of learner activity process and its result. Through such data, the study
has reconstructed and suggested more improved program level through learner’s
topic recognition of Education for Sustainable Development through art, the
process of expression, the relationship with sub factors and categorization of
formation to communicate with community through art piece.
