The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of taping the triceps surae muscle on physical exercise
capacity. Twenty-one subjects (12 males and 9 females) who have no record of musculoskeletal disorders participated in
the test of physical exercise capacity (Cureton,1965) and dynamometer (SYSTEM 3 PRO, Biodex Medical System, Inc.,
USA). Physical exercise capacity was assessed before and after a calf muscle taping program. These data indicate the
conclusion of the experiment as follows. There was significant differences between after taping and before taping in balance,
reflex, coordination, endurance, agility, and flexibility of physical exercise capacity (p<0.05). Isokinetic muscle power
of P/T (Peak Torque), PT/W (Peak Torque / weight) and T/W (Total Work) after taping are significantly higher than before
taping (p<0.05). Isokinetic muscular endurance of AVG/Power and T/W (Total Work) after taping are significantly higher
than before taping (p<0.05). This study showed the effects of triceps surae muscle taping on physical exercise capacity.
