본 연구는 시각장애 학생의 친구관계에 대한 의식 및 태도(교제의 즐거움, 도움, 친밀감, 인정, 정서적 안정감, 신뢰감, 만족감, 경쟁, 갈등)에 대해 성별, 학교급별, 시력 정도, 실명시기, 거주형태에 따라 친구관계의 차이를 알아보기 위한 연구로 시각장애 학교에 재학하고 있는 초, 중, 고등부 학생을 310명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 연구 결과는 시각장애 학생의 친구관계에 대한 의식 및 태도를 분석한 결과 성별, 학교급별, 시력정도, 실명시기, 거주형태에 따라 교제의 즐거움, 도움, 친밀감, 인정, 신뢰감에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 정서적 안정, 만족감, 경쟁, 갈등에서는 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 시각장애 학생의 친구관계의 특성을 학교 현장에 적용하기 위한 교육프로그램이 개발되고 친구관계의 부정적 요인들을 순화할 수 있는 교육적 지도 전략이 마련되어야 할 것이다.
The purpose of the study was to examine differences of friend relation according to sex distinction, class distinction of schools, visual power, period of loss of the sight and housing form in consciousness and attitude (Enjoyment in friendship, help, intimacy, recognition, emotional stability, reliability, satisfaction, competition and conflict) about friend relation of the visually handicapped students. The study investigated with 310 students in the elementary school, middle school and high school for the visually handicapped. As the result which the study analyzed consciousness and attitude in the friend relation of the visually handicapped students, it had a significant difference in enjoyment in friendship, help, intimacy, recognition and reliability according to sex distinction, class distinction of schools, period of loss of the sight and housing form, and didn’t have a significant difference in emotional stability, satisfaction, competition and conflict. Educational programs to apply personalities in the friend relation of these visually handicapped students to the actual site of schools will need to be developed and educational guidance strategies to purify negative factorsin friend relation of the visually handicapped students will need to be prepared.
