To accomplish intended goals of special education paraprofessionals system, the relationship between teachers and special education paraprofessionals should be harmonious. The purpose of this study was to compare recognition of special education paraprofessionals\' roles between teachers and special education paraprofessionals. For this study, 100 teachers and 146 paraprofessionals were employed and researched by questionnaire and in-depth interview. The results of this study were as follows.
First, in the most important role of special education paraprofessionals, teachers recognized teaching․learning support but special education paraprofessionals recognized disabled students\' needs support. Second, in the most difficult role of special education paraprofessionals, teachers recognized psychological burden about open classes but special education paraprofessionals recognized disabled students\' support itself. Third, in the improvement on roles of special education paraprofessionals, teachers recognized strengthening in-service education, clear roles and cooperation with special education paraprofessionals, but special education paraprofessionals recognized better recognition and treatment.
Based on this results, discussion were provided for better implementation of special education paraprofessionals system.
