This study is designed to explore social welfare graduate students\' experiences with a class of qualitative research method, and its implications for social welfare education. The study participants understood the importance of methodological pluralism contributing to the essential purpose of social work research through the heuristic paradigm. And they had an opportunity to appreciate the strengths of qualitative research method that fits to field-based research. They shared their experiences with the need for reflective thinking and practice through their attention to the external world and others, and their practice to self-reflection processes. The study results hint that students\' difficulties learning qualitative research method could be achieved through a communal, mutual-aid process as the study participants had in their class. Suggestions include to develop a system to cultivate teaching manpower for and to enhance social welfare students\' learning efficiency and accessibility to qualitative research method.
