The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of self-insight through Mandara on establishing Gender role Identity and reducing depression of an homosexual adolescent.
The subject of this study was an 17 aged girl, who was in highschool, advised to be
consulted on the matter of smoking and deviation by the teacher.
It was done in the consulting room from June, 2003 to February, 2004, totally 26 sessions. It was done once in a week, taking 50~60 minutes on each term.
The results of this study were as follows;
First, after the pre test of DAP shows confusion with gender role identity, homosexuality
and immaturity, the post test shows establishing gender role identity and feminality.
The pre test shows images that indicate depression such as depressed expression, twisted
lines, ellipsis of eyes, refusal to drawing, the post test shows normal images that reflected
attitude of facing reality.
Therefore it brought about positive change in establishing Gender role Identity and reducing depression.
Second, Gender role Identity test shows Androgyny in the pre test changes into feminality in the post test, having an effect on establishing Gender role Identity.
Third, after depression test, 24 points(great depression) in the pre test changes into 9 points(no depression) in the post test, having an effect on reducing depression.
Fourth, after behavior observation, joining homosexuality, passive behavior in the pre test
changes into seceding homosexuality, active behavior in the post test, bring positive changes in establishing Gender role Identity and reducing depression.
