This study is intended to improve the recognition and the social interaction of ASD(Autism
Spectrum Disorders) children through Drawing LMT(Landscape Montage Technique) along with Special Education.
The subject for this study was 7-year-girl who was diagnosed as ASD and this program
lasted for 102 sessions, twice a week from March, 2005 to February, 2006.
It is constructed that Special Education to improve concept and expression, that Drawing LMT
and coloring with structural questions to purpose.
To assess, Draw-a-Man-Test, Ewha-Check List For Autistic Children(E-CLAC) and Affective
perspective-taking ability test are used. For qualitative analysis, the form, the composition, the
change in color of LMT through each session, the surface change based on Lowenfeld's surface expression development and the internal change as the symbol based on LMT diagnosis standard were analyzed. And the change of linguistic expression through the sessions was made record.
The conclusion of research are as follows :
1. Drawing LMT along with Special Education was shown to be effective to improve the
recognition ability of the ASD children.
2. Drawing LMT along with Special Education was shown to be effective to improve the
social interaction ability of the ASD children.
The result shows that Drawing LMT along with Special Education gives a positive influence
to the recognition ability and social interaction ability of ASD children.
