To the extent that elder citizen over 65 has reached 7.2% of entire population, Korea has been rapidly entering into aging society due to decrease in the birth rate and the extension of life expectancy. In the year 2000, the elders will reach 14.3% and 20.8% in the year 2026 which will be super-aged society. Starting with this perspective, I looked up welfare services for the aged people with dementia of Netherlands, Japan and the United States to examine the problems of welfare services and operational status of in-home care facilities for the ones of Korea. In this study, I also poured my effort to consider the ways to better projects, public relations and education for national budget and care management in the field of welfare service. On the base of this effort, I studied elderly welfare policy for the activation and enlarged implementation of quality service for the elderly with dementia.
