The purpose of this study is a paper intended to survey the psychosocial & spiritual factors influencing the living quality of disabled patriots and veterans. The survey is conducted against the patriots and veterans hospitalized in five exclusive hospitals all over the country, disabled veterans group community and railroad servants using the clustering method and sampling method and then the survey sheets consisting of 302 sheets are statistically analyzed.
This study has been conducted to analyze how the psychosocial and spiritual factors and welfare environment influence the living quality of disabled patriots and veterans. I intend to suggest the recommendable policy applicable to the disabled patriots and veterans based on the results of analysis.
The living quality, psychosocial・spiritual factors are considered as the dependent variable, independent variable and control variable demography respectively in order to accomplish the goals of this study. The population sociological characteristics are classified into the general personal characteristics and disability relevant characteristics. The self-esteem, recognition of disability and religious life are considered as the inferior variable of psychological・spiritual factors. The SPSS WIN 12.00 Version is used for processing the statistical data.
The reliability of this study, Crobach\'s a .871, is surveyed, so no problem is expected in terms of reliability.
According to analyzed results of study regarding the factors influencing the living quality of disabled patriots and veterans show that recognition of disability(β=.460), self-esteem(β=.292), the religious life(β=.124).
The purposes of this study regarding the practice of social welfare are to determine the important psychosocial and spiritual variables of personal characteristics the define quality of life.
The following are suggested in this study. Programs, such as psychosocial rehabilitation programs that increase the level of recognition about the psychosocial, and spiritual aspects of veterans, consulting program that exam and increase self-esteem, and other programs that encourage religious life and participation must be improved for the users.
