이 연구는 성인교육 교수자의 교수활동을 평가할 수 있는 타당도와 신뢰도를 가진 평가준거를 개발하여 활용할 수 있도록 함으로써 성인교육 교수자의 교육적 책무성(accountability)을 증진시켜 성인교육의 질적 수준을 향상시키는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적 달성을 위한 연구방법으로는 성인교육관련 전문가 32명에게 우편 또는 e-mail을 사용하여 1차부터 3차에 걸친 델파이 조사를 시행하였다. 델파이 결과, 최종 4개의 대영역과 21개의 중영역, 그리고 40개의 일반 평가준거 및 19개의 핵심 평가준거로 성인교육 교수자의 교수활동 평가 영역 및 준거들이 설정되었다. 델파이 패널들에 의해 도출된 성인교육 교수자의 교수활동 평가준거들은 성인교육 교수(teaching)의 계획 단계부터 평가 단계까지의 지침이 된다. 그리고 성인교육 교수자의 교수활동 평가 준거를 통해 성인교육 교수자는 자신의 교수활동을 개선하는데 있어 실제적이고 구체적으로 활용할 수 있으며 자신의 교수활동 내용을 체계적으로 분석하고 평가할 수 있다. 결국 이 연구를 통해 제시된 교수활동 평가준거는 성인교육 교수자가 자기평가도구로도 활용하여 성인교육의 질적 수준을 향상시킬 수 있다.
This study ultimately aims to improve the quality of adult education by raising education accountability. To this end, the author endeavored to enhance the validity and reliability of the evaluation criteria of teaching activities for adult education teachers. To develop these evaluation criteria, the author formed a Delphi panel consisting of 32 people, and conducted the first, second, and third round of Delphi research with each of the panelists. Following the analysis of the Delphi research, the author found the following outcomes. As for the evaluation criteria of teaching activities for adult education teachers, the research identified four large categories, 21 medium categories, 40 general evaluation criteria, and 19 core evaluation criteria.
