The study was to develop a teaching model to minimize an alienation and to improve an effectiveness and
participation in inclusive physical education class for elementary school students with intellectual
disabilities(ID). In order to achieve this purpose, an ADDIE(Molenda, Pershing & Reigeluth, 1996) was applied,
which was consisted of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. In the process of
analysis, the documents analyses, field study, in-depth interview for experts group, and survey reports were
carried out to obtain the information of basic concepts, important factors, and operation methods in teaching
model. This teaching model has a characteristics or contents to fulfill the unique needs of students with ID,
such as diverse activities before and after class, group learning, experiences of various roles and environments,
diverse instructional strategies, class management based of documents, reflective group process. In addition,
the process of this teaching model consists of plan and diagnosis, instruction, development, finish, and
evaluation. This teaching model can promote student's self-directed learning ability through group organization
and leader education before class and a notice of progression by group and leader meeting after class and
have teacher assist and give an individual feedback to students with ID in class.
