본 연구는 장애학생과 비 장애학생 간에 상담에 대한 태도와 상담에 대한 태도를 결정하는 요인의 차이가 있는지를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애학생이 비 장애학생보다 상담에 대한 태도가 더욱 적극적이다. 둘째, 장애학생은 비 장애학생보다 훨씬 더 많은 문제를 경험하고 있으며, 상담에 대한 인식의 적절성, 사회적 지지, 대인신뢰성, 정서적 유능감은 비 장애학생보다 더 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 장애학생과 비 장애학생 간에 상담에 대한 태도를 결정하는 요인의 차이가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구의 결과는 장애학생을 위한 상담 지원체계의 확립이 시급하며, 지금까지 비 장애학생들을 위주로 하여 전개되어 온 학교상담 활동을 본질적으로 변화시켜야 함을 보여준다.
The purpose of this study was to explore the difference of help-seeking attitudes and the pred ictors of these attitudes between the students with disabilities and the students without disabilities. The main results were as follows: First, the students with disabilities showed more positive help-seeking attitudes than the stude nts without disabilities. Second, the students with disabilities showed higher level of severity of psychological problems than the students without disabilities. But They showed less appropriate understanding and lower level of social support, interpersonal trust, and emotional competence than the students without disabilities. Third, there were some significant differences with the predictors of help-seeking intentions between the two groups(the students with disabilities and the students without disabilities). Finally, several suggestions were made for the improvement of school counseling in Korea.
