학교안전사고는 발생해서는 안 될 사태이고, 사전에 예방할 수 있다면 가장 바람직한 선택일 것이다. 그러나 예기치 못한 학교안전사태의 발생에 대한 교사의 대처 방안 등도 사전에 고려되어야 할 주요 과제이다. 본 연구에서는 학교안전사고에 대한 특수교사와 일반교사의 인식을 알아보기 위하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 특수교육 연수에 참여한 일반교사 180명과 특수교사 81명을 대상으로 설문조사하여 교사변인별로 학교안전사고에 대한 인식을 분석하였다. 교사가 담당하는 아동의 연령이 어릴수록 학교안전사고에 대한 교사의 불안은 높은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 정신연령이 어린 아동을 지도하는 초등특수교사의 학교안전사고에 대한 불안심리와 안전사고의 예방과 대처 방안에 대한 인식이 다른 집단에 비해 높게 고조되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 특수학교와 특수학급을 위한 학교안전사고 예방을 위한 다면적 방안이 구축되어야 함을 또한 시사하였다.
A major reason that schools exist is in order to educate with safe environments. Therefore the schools concern how to protect the school safety accidents. The purpose of this study is to compare the recognition toward school safety accidents between general and special teachers. A questionnaire with thirty four questions was developed for this study. One hundred and eighty general teachers and eighty one special teachers were participated in this study. The results of this study were that: (a) about half of the teachers experienced the school safety accidents, and they answered that the most important role to prevent the school safety accidents is to teachers themselves; and (b) elementary special teachers indicated the highest scores in necessary of school safety accidents than those of the general school teachers. Therefore this study concluded that the children\'s age is an important factor to feel how to school safety accidents to the teachers. Also this study suggested that special schools have to consider how to prevent the school safety accidents for the children with disabilities.
