This study sets the goal to help students and teachers understand the people with disability and the disability without misunderstanding through the English textbooks for the 10th graders involving the appropriate and desirable content related to the disability. To accomplish this goal,it is needed to look into how many main bodies deal with the content on disabilities in the textbook, terms on disabilities are described appropriately without giving any negative images, and the content on disabilities and people who have disabilities is described not to give any stereoty pe and prejudice. In conclusion, the content related to the disabilities and people with disabilities are dealt with in the main bodies of 8 out of 15 textbooks. Inappropriate terms to describe the disabilities and people with disabilities are presented a lot in textbooks. These terms have to be corrected as so on as possible. The heroes who overcame their own limits despite their disabilities are mainly described in the main bodies. It can give rise to the misunderstanding that all the people with disabilities overcome their disabilities and can be the heroes. It is desirable to describe people with disability who interact people without disabilities naturally.
