The microphone array is more efficient component to increase the perception of the consonant
sounds in noise environments. Recently directional hearing aids with two microphone
array is developed to reduce the background noise. But the system is not effective to reduce
noises with high frequency. The purpose of this study is to illustrate the effects of the three
microphone array to reduce the background noise one of which is to increase the consonant
perception. In this paper, we construct a triple microphone array system which is more effective
to reduce background noises with high frequency. And we conclude that triple microphone
array system is more effective to reduce the background noise and to increase the consonant
perception than the two microphone array system.
