본 논문은 한국에서 최근에 국가정책적으로 주목을 받고 있는 청소년멘토링의 활성화를 위하여 선진 독일의 사례를 연구하여 그 시사점을 얻고자 연구되었다. 급속한 한국의 정보사회 변화 속에서 위기청소 년이 증가하고 있는 상황에 직면하여 청소년멘토링 제도의 시대적 필요성이 더욱 요청되고 있다. 본 논 문에서 연구된 독일의 청소년멘토링 정책 현황과 사례는 한국의 청소년멘토링 정책에 다음과 같은 내용 들을 시사하고 있다. 첫째||| 독일의 청소년멘토링 정책은 21세기에 들어와 최근에 와서야 활성화되고 있 기에 현재 한국의 청소년들이 겪고 있는 많은 문제들에 있어서 청소년멘토링 제도의 도입은 결코 늦은 것이 아니다. 둘째||| 독일의 청소년멘토링 정책은 그 대상이 주로 사회에서 취약한 청소년들을 대상으로 시행되고 있고 특히 외국인 이주민 자녀들에게 사회통합 차원에서 이루어지고 있다. 셋째||| 독일의 청소 년멘토링의 정책방향이 우리에게 시사하는 것은 주로 교육적 지원과 취업을 겨냥한 진로 지원의 멘토링 이 주를 이루고 있다는 점이다. 넷째||| 독일의 사례에서 보는 것과 같이 교육지원 멘토링에 있어서는 상 급학교 학생 청소년들이 나이가 적은 청소년들을 대상으로 멘토링하는 것이 멘토나 멘티에게 교육적으 로 효과가 높은 것을 유념할 필요가 있다. 다섯째||| 독일에 있어서 멘토는 대부분 자원봉사자들로 구성되 고 있는데 이는 독일시민들의 사회적 참여를 활성화시키는 의미를 지니고 있어 향후 우리의 멘토링 정 책에 있어서도 시사하는 바가 크다. 여섯째||| 초등학생 멘토링 프로그램은 단순히 숙제를 도와주는 일을 하는 것이 아니라 학교 밖에서 다양한 활동들을 통해 다양한 세계를 일찍부터 체험할 수 있는 기회를 주는 진정한 교육지원 멘토링이라는 것을 유념할 필요가 있다.
This study aims to activate youth mentoring in Korea by studying on the cases of German youth mentoring and its suggestions. German youth mentoring policy and cases in this paper suggests following contents for Korean youth mentoring policy. First||| in consideration of German youth mentoring policy which is not activated until 21th century the introduction of Korean youth mentoring policy recently is naver late. Second||| German youth mentoring policy focusts on the socially discriminated teenagers||| especially on the immigrant youth. Third||| German youth mentoring policy directs mainly to educational support and vocational support that aims for employment. Fourth||| as German case it needs to conder that mentoring by advanced school student teenagers to less aged student makes higher educational effects on both mentors and mentees. Fifth||| mentoring policy organized by volunteers in Germany has meaning that activate social participation of German citizens. This fact give us many suggestions by our mentoring policy in the future. Sixth||| elementary school pupil mentoring program needs to consider that educational support mentoring is not simply helping homework||| but actually genuine mentoring that give him early an opportunity to experience the various world through various activities outside school.
