This study was to evaluate the current status of human rights in living facilities for the disabled
based on previous researches. According to the study results, as guaranteed legal and institutional
policies of human rights in living facilities for the disabled, the overall level of creature comforts of
the living environment has been much improved. But it was suggested that the rights of privacy,
free activities, and self-determination should be considered important. The effectiveness of human
rights education that mostly utilized for improving awareness of human rights revealed differently,
and workers had needs to get specific, helpful human rights education program that enable to
respond appropriately to different problematic situations as possible. One of factors affecting workers'
human rights awareness were personal factors such as level of education, type of sex, length of
career, type of certification, but more important and urgent issuses were improvement of poor
working conditions, various institutuinal approaches for human rights protection.
