1999년 창립된 (사)한국사립박물관협회는 2009년 현재 111 개의 회원관이 등록되어있는 사립박물관을 대표하는 단체 로, 사립박물관들의 권익을 위해 노력하고 있다 본 협회의 정관에 명시된 바와 같이 ‘한국사립박물관 상호간의 유기적 협조 및 제도적 보호 육성에 이바지함’ 을 목적으로 하고 있으며 2005년 사단법인으로 등록한 후 사립박물관 진흥 을 위해 적극적이고 활발한 활동을 해오고 있다 먼저 박물관 등록제도의 질적 향상과 관리를 위해 대표성을 띠는 사립박물관협회가 보다 적극적으로 참여할 필요성이 있고, 사립박물관의 재정 자립도 문제해결을 위해 정부의 연속적이고 현실적인 지원이 요구된다 또한 사립박물관 협회는 자체적인 전문성을 강화하여 자립성이 부족한 사립박물관의 등록 및 사후 관리를 지원 하고 박물관 경영을 위한 지원 벙안을 마련할 필요가 있다 협회의 설립취지에 맞는 여러 사립 박물관간의 공동 사업망을 구축할 수 있는 연계사업을 진행하여 박물관들의 특색에 맞는 돌파 구를 찾을 수 있도록 협회가 유도하는 것에 대해 제안해 보았다 앞으로 우리 사립박물관들은 한국사립박물관협회를 중심으로 화합하며 단결하여 서로의 협 력관계가 더욱 활성화되고 공고해져야 한다.
Korea Ptivate Museums Association established in 1999, as the representative association of the private museums registered 111 member museums as of 2009, has made an effort to expand the rights and interests of ptivate museums As stated the Statute of the Association, it goals in the service of the mutual organic collaboration among the Korea private museums, and of the institutional protection and upbting. Since it was registered as a jutidical association in 2005, it has actively perf01111ed the vital activities. Firstly, it which is a presentative for tl1e qualified upbring and management of the museum registration system, proposes the necessity to palticipate more actively, and requires the continuous and realistic SUppOlt by tl1e Government to solve 미e finance se止 reliance problem of a private museum. Also it needs to prepare for the devices for the less self-reliance private museum registration, of the management of post private museum registration, and of tl1e SUppOlt for the museum management tllI'Ough enforcing the itself exper1?se. FUlthermore it proposes to lead that it proceeds the related business to build the corporate business network by the many private museums fullfilling tl1e mission statement of the Korea Private Museum Association, and each of them is able to search for the breakthrough in accord with the charactetistic of each museum Aftelward, we as private museum museums have to make harmony and unity ourselves with tl1e Korea Private Museum Association as tl1e central figure, and more to vitalize and strengthen tl1e bilateral collaboration relationship.
