초현실주의 작품을 활용한 창의적 사고 지도 방안

창의적 사고력은 미술교육에서 중요한 목표로서 다양한 시각과 관점에서 시도되어왔다. 창의 적 사고는 미술적 문제를 다양한 관점에서 분석하여 새로운 시도를 하는 과정에서 길러질 수 있다고 본다면 미술 작품은 이를 위한 중요한 학습의 방법으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 20세기 초반에 등장한 초현실주의 작품을 창의적 사고의 측면에서 살펴보고 미술교육 에서 창의적 사고 지도 방안을 논의하고자 한다. 초현실주의 작가들은 일상의 관습과 상식을 극복하기 위한 시도로서 무의식과 우연을 중시하는 자동기술법을 개발하였다. 나아가 작품 활동에서 재료와 매체의 실험적 접근을 통한 표현기법을 개발하여 미술에서 질적 사고로서의 문제해결과정을 보여준다. 또한 대상과 맥락을 다양한 방식의 결합하여 감각과 오브제의 확 장된 인식세계를 보여준다. 이러한 초현실주의 작품의 특징을 활용한 지도방안으로 우연과 유희에 의한 집단창작과 스토리텔링의 교육적 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.

영문초록

The use of creative thinking strategy by introducing Surrealism could assist students in generating artistic inquiry. Creative thinking has been a significant goal of art education through diverse perspectives and approaches. Students could learn creative problem solving by analyzing innovative ideas of Surrealism artworks with dream, fantasy, imagination. Qualitative thinking in the artistic process of surrealist work could be a tool for students to learn emotion, feeling, and concept by using artistic medium with inspiration of strange and dreamlike objects in the artwork. The author discusses strategies for extending imaginative and creative thinking by juxtaposition, connection, and synectics. The Surrealist technique of putting two familiar items into an unfamiliar juxtaposition is called synectics. Using synectics is one approach for developing habits of creative expression in the art classroom. When students engage in visual narrative in their drawing, they use pictures to communicate their insights, dream, and fantasy. Teachers could suggest ways of storytelling strategy for inventing imaginative drawing beyond conventional graphic patterns of students within artistically free atmosphere of their classroom. Students could make more meaningful expressions of intellectual inventiveness, imagination and creativity by collaboration with their peers as performing surrealists’ practice for working together. Experience with creative thinking skills helped students to gain fresh perspectives in their art, storytelling and their visual inquiry.
