As the pre-service music teachers could not receive the proper knowledge and teaching methods to teach music by the music education program in the University of Education, the goal of this study was to investigate the changes of pre-service teachers' music teaching abilities through applying music instruction consulting to the elementary pre-service teachers from their teaching practice teacher. Two pre-service teachers were consulted 6 times in their teaching practice and took the pre- and post- tests of music instruction ability, satisfaction evaluation of music instruction consulting, and wrote a impression report. As a result, music instruction consulting actually improved music teaching ability and gave the pride of teaching to the consultees. In order to keep and develop these effects, there should be the establishment of connecting system between university of education and classroom instruction, the training of music consultants, and activation of voluntary music study such as music education association.
