Teacher efficacy of literary education is foundation of educational belief about literary activities
which are of great importance in language education and actual teaching in classrooms. This study
investigated the correlation between the general variables of teachers and teacher efficacy of literary
education, the correlation between the teachers' perception on literacy education and teacher efficacy
of literary education, and the teachers' perception on literacy education on the teacher efficacy of
literary education. The results show that the teacher efficacy of literary education is high when
teacher are more than 31 years old and when they have more than 10 years of teaching
experience. It seems that teacher's age is correlated with the teacher efficacy of literary education.
The teachers' perception on literacy education was subdivided into perception on existing literary
education and perception on literary education as a teaching subject, and respective purposes,
contents, methods, and evaluations were investigated. The results show that respective purposes,
contents, methods, and evaluations have high correlations with the teacher efficacy of literary
education. As for the influence of general variables of teachers and the teachers' perception on
literacy education on the teacher efficacy, the method of literary education as a teaching subject,
the purpose of literary education as a teaching subject, the evaluation of literary education as a
teaching subject, age, and types of institute are found to affect the teacher efficacy of literary
education.
