The purpose of this study was to analyze the articulation of social curriculum
between kindergarten and the lower primary school. The subjects of analysis
were the contents of the social curriculum in the kindergarten and the lower
primary school. This study was conducted to analyze the 29 contents of ‘social
relation’ domain in the Kindergarten Curriculum and each 33 achievement
standards of ‘right life’, ‘wise life’ and ‘pleasant life’ in the Lower Primary
Curriculum. Contents of ‘social relation’ domain had linkage with 30 achievement
standards of ‘right life’, 23 achievement standards of ‘wise life’, and 14
achievement standards of ‘pleasant life’ in the Lower Primary Curriculum.
According to the comparison between the Kindergarten Curriculum and Lower
Primary Curriculum, similar contents generally were repeated in both curriculum
in the aspect of continuity, and Lower Primary Curriculum dealt with more
intensified contents than Kindergarten Curriculum in the aspect of sequence.
