The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationships between principal’s
transformational leadership, chair teacher’s leadership, beginning teacher’s view of teaching
profession and adaptation to teaching profession.
Principal’s transformational leadership, chair teacher’s leadership, and beginning teacher’s view
of teaching profession had a positive effect on adaptation to teaching profession. In particular,
subordinate variables of principal’s transformational leadership, including individualized

three elements of chair teacher’s leadership to have positive effects on adaptation to teaching
profession, and these elements were arranged in descending order from the most effective to
least as follows: aiming for the goal, professionality, and task based leading. Finally, the analysis
indicated the view of sacred job and the view of technical job to have positive effects on
adaptation to teaching profession. but, not the view of blue-collar job.
According to the structural equation modeling analysis of principal’s transformational
leadership, chair teacher’s leadership, beginning teacher’s view of teaching profession and
adaptation to teaching profession, principal’s transformational leadership didn't have a direct
effect on the view of blue-collar job and a indirect effect on adaptation to teaching profession
through the view of blue-collar job. However, the other variances didn't had a direct effect but a
indirect effect. In particular, principal’s transformational leadership, chair teacher’s leadership had
a direct effect on the view of sacred job, the view of technical job and adaptation to teaching
profession. and had an indirect effect on adaptation to teaching profession through the view of
sacred job, the view of technical job.
