이 연구는 특수교육 및 재활 전공 성인학습자의 대학생활 적응과 학업만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 밝히기 위해 수행되었다. 광주광역시, 전라남도, 전라북도의 4년제 대학과 전문대학에서 특수교육 및 재활(언어치료, 재활심리, 직업재활)을 전공하고 있는 성인 학습자 246명을 대상으로 학습동기, 학습 상의 장애 요인, 대학생활 적응도, 학업만족도에 대한 설문 조사를 각각 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 연구 문제에 따라 각각 빈도분석, 요인분석, 상관분석, 회귀분석 등을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다.: 첫째, 외재적 학습 동기와 내재적 학습 동기 모두는 특수교육 및 재활 전공 성인학습자의 대학생활 적응에 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 학습 상의 장애요인 중 상황적 장애, 성향적 장애는 특수교육 및 재활 전공 성인학습자의 대학 적응에 영향을 미치는데 반해, 구조적 장애는 영향을 미치지 않는다. 셋째, 외재적․내재적 학습 동기는 특수교육 및 재활 전공 성인학습자의 학업 만족도에 영향을 미친다. 넷째, 학습 상의 장애요인 중 구조적 장애는 특수교육 및 재활 전공 성인학습자의 학업 만족도에 영향을 미치지만, 상황적 장애나 성향적 장애는 영향을 미치지 않는다.
The purpose of this study is to find out the influencing factors on college life adaptation and satisfaction with their studies of adult learners(specializing in majors related to the education for the handicapped and rehabilitation). The results of this study are as follows: 1) Learning motivations for attending colleges such as earning diplomas, learning skills related to their jobs, acquiring licenses, applying for jobs and immanent factors have influence on college life adaptation and satisfaction with their studies of adult learners. 2) The factors that disturb their studies such as being burdened about paying tuitions, not having enough time to study, having hard time transporting back and forth between home and school, concerning about their learning ability, lacking social authorization of learning and lacking knowledge on how to apply concepts from their studies affect college life adaptation of adult learner. But satisfaction with their studies of adult learners is not influenced. 3) In the case of structural obstacle factors affect satisfaction with their studies of adult learners, on the other hand, college life adaptation is not influenced.
