“하이데거는 서양철학의 역사를 존재신론 (ontotheology)이라고 비판한다. 장-뤽 마리옹은 이러한 하이데 거의 관점을 이어받아 데카르트 철학의 존재신론적 성격을 파헤 친다. 그는 데카르트 철학이 ‘자아’와 ‘신’이라는 개념을 통해 어떻 게 존재신론이라는 그물에 걸려드는지를 보여준 다음에, 데카르트 철학 내부에서 존재신론을 극복할 가능성을 발견하려고 애쓴다. 그리고 그 가능성을 완전히 열어 밝혀줄 수 있는 근거를 파스칼 의 논의에서 찾으려고 한다. 본 논고에서는 하이데거의 존재신론 비판의 의의가 무엇인지, 그리고 존재신론이라는 비판의 기획 속 에 데카르트가 어떻게 걸려드는지를 보여줄 것이다. 또한 데카르 트의 존재신론을 극복할 가능성이 어디서 찾아질 수 있는지를 논 증할 것인데, 이 모든 논의는 장-뤽 마리옹의 논변을 매개로 하 여 제시될 것이다. 이를 통해 우리는 존재신론의 문제점과 존재신 론을 벗어나는 탈형이상학적 사유 기획의 가능성을 보게 될 것이 다. 아울러 기존의 데카르트 이해와는 다른, 데카르트에 대한 새 로운 해석이라는 사유의 열매도 함께 얻을 수 있을 것이다.
Martin Heidegger criticizes that western philosophy is based on ontotheology. Jean-Luc Marion reveals ontotheological characteristics of Descartes philosophy by succeeding to the above viewpoint of Heidegger. He tries to discover the possibility to overcome ontotheology within Descartes philosophy after showing how Descartes philosophy gets entangled in a net of ontotheology through the concept of ‘Ego’ and ‘God’. And he tries to discover grounds of the possibility from Pascal’s discussion. The study will show what meaning of Heidegger’s criticism on ontotheology is and how Descartes’ ontotheology gets entangled in planning of the criticism. Also, the study will demonstrate how Descartes’s ontotheology can be overcome by the mediation of Jean-Luc Marion’s discussion. Through the study, we will see problems of ontotheology and the possibility of planning for a post-metaphysical thought escaping from ontotheology. Also, we will get fruits of thinking through new analysis on Descartes philosophy compared to the existing understanding of Descartes philosophy.
