본 연구는 MeFOT에 기반을 둔 또래관계 훈련이 유아의 사회성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 분석하 는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 유치원에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아 4개 반 108명을 대상으로 하여 이 중 54명은 MeFOT기반 또래관계 훈련을 실시하는 실험집단에, 54명은 아무런 프로그램을 실시하지 않는 통제집단에 배정하였다. 실험집단 유아들은 주 1회 40분씩 12주간 MeFOT기반 또래관계 훈련을 받았다. 프로그램 내용은 유아의 사회성 발달에 도움을 줄 수 있는 놀잇감, 친구이해, 정리정돈, 도움활 동, 게임, 블록조립, 흉내, 친한 친구, 거절, 용모, 별명, 고자질 등 12가지 주제이다. 훈련방법은 상황그 림, 사진, 동영상 자료를 유아들에게 보여주고 MeFOT의 질문생성, 정보생성, 정보연상, 정보정교화, 정보수용의 과정을 거쳤다. 검사 도구는 Asher, Singleton, Tinsley 그리고 Hymel(1979)의 How I Feel Toward Others(HIFTO)를 참고로 한 2가지 상황에 대한 질문을 하였다. 본 연구에서 나타난 주 요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, MeFOT기반 또래관계 훈련은 유아의 성별과 관계없이 사회성 전체에 효 과가 있었다. 둘째, MeFOT기반 또래관계 훈련은 유아의 성별과 관계없이 사회성의 하위요인 중 친구 선호도 및 친구 피선호도 모두에 효과가 있었다. 이는 유아의 사회성을 향상시키기 위해서는 체계적인 또래관계 훈련이 필요하다는 것을 보여준다. 특히 본 연구에서는 창의성을 길러주는 MeFOT에 기반한 특별한 유형의 교수방법을 채택한 결과 교육 효과가 높았다.
This study explores the effect of MeFOT based pier-relationship training on young children's sociability among children in kindergarten. The participants of the study were 5 year old 108 children in kindergarten. A experimental group consists of 54 children participated the peer-relationship training based on MeFOT program and a control group consists of 54 children. The instrument used were the peer-relationship training based on MeFOT program carried out for 12 weeks with 40 minuet session per week. The program consists with 12 programs; playthings, understanding friends, tidying, helping activity, games, blocks, mimicry, close friend, rejection, appearance, nickname, snitch extracted from for developing sociability. The method of training is that after showing the drawing of certain situation, photo and video clips to children follows the processes of creating question, creating information, associating information, elaborating information, accepting information. The results of this study were as follows: First, the peer-relationship training based on MeFOT enhanced sociability of children in friend preference and friend eligible preference and sociability were improved both male and female children. Second, the peer-relationship training based on MeFOT enhanced both friend preference and friend eligible preference of children.
